Striatum
The striatum is part of the basal ganglia and is involved in voluntary movement. The striatum consists of dorsal (caudate nucleus & putamen) and the ventral (nucleus accubens & olfactory tubercle).

Basically, your dominant hemisphere is contralateral to your handedness (e.g., right handed is most likely left hemisphere dominant), but not always. If there is damage to your dominant hemisphere, you would notice a difference (e.g., experience problems or disabilities).
It relates to actual vs. perceived/expected magnitude of a stimulus. For example, lifting weights or getting shocked. It's a relationship between the expectation and the actual experience of the stimulus.
